Based on the government’s advice and guidelines, AGSD has made some changes so we can all continue to operate and ensure everyone feels safe in the studios including:
Please follow the instructions on hygiene and social distancing as displayed around the building to keep yourself and everyone safe.
By attending a course at AGSD you agree to abide by these rules:
St Saviour’s Hall waiting area:
Acton Gardens Community Centre waiting area:
At the end of each class, studio and waiting areas will be wiped down e.g. doors, door handles, barres, table tops
As a parent/guardian and student, you agree to take full responsibility for your personal health, hygiene and assure the safety of others in attendance, including high-risk participants.
We strongly advise those deemed as high risk to avoid attending the studios.
Attending is at your own risk and all visitors must wear masks at all times in communal areas.
Staff at both venues will be in charge of maintaining cleanliness around the communal areas. Miss Angela and an assistant will be cleaning/wiping surfaces, in-between classes.
Class payments if possible should be made online. Payment is requested before or by the first class, any late payments will adhere to a £10 admin fee if payment is not made by half term of that term.
If there is a lockdown, there will be two options if the classes can’t go ahead in the studio1.
Teachers and students who are unwell with the following symptoms of Coronavirus (Covid-19) should not attend the studios. If you have any of the following symptoms DO NOT enter the building.
To protect others, do not go to places like a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital if you have any of these symptoms. Stay at home and self-isolate for 14 days.
If you have symptoms and have a booking with us, please contact the academy as soon as possible.
If you have recently traveled or come back abroad, please self-isolate for 14 days before attending the studios.
We are all learning as we go. My pledge is to work with you to talk through any of the issues and concerns you may have. I want to provide a safe, happy, healthy, and calm class environment for all my students. I will be continuously reviewing procedures at my various studios and I am in touch with the Royal Academy of Dance who are advising teachers weekly with studio/class guidelines.
