Safeguarding

Angela Grant School of Dance takes the well-being and safety of its students very seriously and follows the government’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy to ensure our "duty of care to all students". All staff undergoes safeguarding and child protection training every year. Every member of staff follows the Royal Academy of Dance’s Professional Code of Conduct. Each staff member is required to hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have regular First Aid training. It is of paramount importance to us that each child feels safe and secure in our classes and leaves every lesson smiling. The school’s designated safeguarding officer is the principal Angela Grant. Please do contact me if you have any questions about the health, safety, or well-being of our students. Angela Grant School of Dance holds an up-to-date Public Liability Certificate. Please note, at Angela Grant School of Dance we use a hands-on teaching method to enable our dancers to understand positions more effectively to give them the best possible training. If you have any concerns, please contact the principal.

ABOUT ANGELA

Angela Grant (RAD RTS) is one of a trio of performing sisters, namely Rebecca Grant (Holby City) and Rachel Grant (Die Another Day). She was trained with her sisters from an early age by Miss Nora Morrison MBE at the Nora Morrison School of Dance in Nottingham . She went on to train at the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School and then at the London Studio Centre.
