Every year, students may take part in various school performances. These may include local west London events, invitations to perform at RAD events across London, and periodically the main School recital.
This is a full-scale production in west London, set in a theme or a story and normally featuring performances by a guest star from one of the major ballet companies. These are always extremely well received by the families and it is very apparent how much all the children enjoy being the stars of a real ballet performance. Do please see the Gallery page for photos of our recent recitals.
Children can also take part in the schools ‘Dancing Stars’ competition which is open to all students and their friends from the age of 6 to 11years old. There are two categories Classical Ballet and Performing Arts. Students perform a piece no longer than two and a half minutes include their own music selection, choroegraphy, theme or story in costume and with props if required. The competition is judged by dancers/actors from the world of dance/theatre/television and film. Certificates and prizes are given to those who take part and specific awards for best technique, best performance and best costume.
